Oldhough Big Max

As is often the case these days we can easily fill a water such is the great commitment at Limehurst AC, this weekend was no different with a near full lake on Bigmax at Oldhough, pegging was tight but we had a good turn out and the weather was kind.

At the all in those who had a chuck to the island wasted no time in getting out there, it was clear from the off that pockets of fish where being caught long, both Roy Boardman and Jim C where having great sport on the tip, the rest of the lads looking to be struggling, Dave Phillips soon got into his stride with the pellet waggler, Mike Briggs was also having a few from peg 24 long to his right. As the final hour hit fish started to come out across the complex, by this time most the anglers had worked out the lake is absolutely full of bits any sight of a small or soft bait resulted in a small roach.

The all out sounded and the scales did the talking, Roy Boardman once aging displayed a master class on the feeder to win the match with 92lb 2oz

Second was Dave Phillips with 91lb 14oz after being deducted 4lb for going over weight in his nets, Jim C was 3rd with 89lb and Mike Briggs came 4th with 66lb

Section wins
1) James Whiteley 40lb 3oz
2) Jim C 89lb 4oz
3) Roy Boardman 92lb 2oz
4) Dave Phillips 91lb 14 0z

next up is Heronbrook on the 24th Sept
